The Client: LEADER STREET
WEB DESIGN
ABOUT THE CLIENT
FROM THE WEBSITE: EmpowerFULTM is a one-of-a-kind, live, online training program led by a certified professional coach, incorporating experiential learning of coaching techniques through mentoring rescued African street youth.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
THE CHALLENGE
A referral from another client, the website was initially created in Canva but he felt that the site lacked professionalism and cohesion. He was also frustrated to learn that, at the time in Canva, design options were limited as was the ability to grow the website into multiple pages rather than a landing page style website. For example, there was no ability to do FAQs that opened/closed.
THE SOLUTION
For content and design:
- First things first: we discussed his business goals since those would decide the organization of the content and calls to action.
- We decided on the pages that would be needed
- The design and images were chosen to showcase the leadership training work the couple did in Africa while also choosing images to represent the corporate target market and online nature of the training
- I encouraged them to include their ‘about’ story after him sharing why and how they got started. This not only added more copy for Search Engines but also provided potential clients they ‘why’ behind the mission.
On the technical side:
- We moved the site to a different hosting platform
- We used WordPress as the content management system because the client wanted to be able to make smaller changes as needed. It was also to allow for the potential for blogging or ‘in the news’ type features.
- He wanted the ability to accept donations and after some research, we settled on Stripe because it was easy for him to set up.

THE RESULTS
A strong, easy to navigate professional website with clearly organized sections and calls to action.
