ABOUT THE CLIENT
Pearl Studios NYC is a multi-floor business that rents rehearsal studios to dance companies, acting classes, auditions, rehearsals or events.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
I have worked on the Pearl Studios website for over 12 years. The former website was handed down to me. I had been adding to, and adjusting it over the years. After the pandemic, the owner finally decided it was time for an upgrade.
The original site really did need an upgrade! It was not responsive, was running on outdated code and was also visually outdated.
The client liked the interactive nature of the floor plans from the old site so we kept that but made it fresh and less clunky (even though I designed the original images as well – we all grow and technology evolved!).
We made the tables on the studio rates pages interactive as well. This helped the customer service reps have an easier time providing rates, dimensions and amenities to customers on the phone.
After 3 months, the search results showed the website moved from page 3 to page 1 and 2 depending on which key-phrase was used.
